EVE Online Guides and Advice
Weight loss drugs actually go back further than you might think. Of course most of us would believe that the first weight loss drugs (amphetamines) were developed in the fifties because these were the first to gain popularity. Actually the first weight loss drugs were developed in the thirties and were not appetite suppressants, they were "thermogenic weight loss drugs". This means that they increased body temperature so that food was spent as heat energy rather than stored as fat. These weight loss drugs worked to a degree (no pun intended) but were also quite dangerous. People taking this weight loss drug, DNP as it was called, sometimes developed fatally high fevers. Other times the extreme body heat caused injuries like blindness. The next development in weight loss drugs was amphetamines that I was speaking about earlier. This was a completely different idea of course, helping people lose weight by suppressing appetite. Unfortunately these weight loss drugs have their share of negative side effects, and occasionally can cause death by overdose. The newest weight loss drug isn't actually a drug at all, but an all natural supplement that can suppress appetite with no risks or side effects. If you haven't guessed it's [s]hoodia[s], the newest and greatest innovation in weight loss drugs.
While Hoodia Gordonii has been used for weight loss for some time now, Hoodia Gordonii supplements and sprays have only become popular in the last few years. The increase in popularity of Hoodia Gordonii is because of a flurry of TV and magazine reports about it, hailing Hoodia Gordonii as an effective yet side effect free appetite suppressant. Hoodia Gordonii is called a cactus quite often, but is actually a member of the succulent family; Hoodia Gordonii just happens to look a lot like a cactus. Hoodia Gordonii has another thing in common with cacti, it grows extremely slowly. This makes pure Hoodia Gordonii both an extremely effective appetite suppressant but also a somewhat costly one, so you should be skeptical of supplements which claim to be Hoodia but are offered at a price far below other Hoodia Gordonii supplements. Hoodia Gordonii has such a good reputation because it suppresses appetite in a different way than all of the other appetite suppressants. While most of these diet pill stimulate the nervous system, Hoodia Gordonii fools your brain into thinking you are full without causing side effects like restlessness or insomnia or high blood pressure. Hoodia Gordonii is completely side effect free and Hoodia Gordonii does not interact with other supplements or with pharmaceutical drugs.
Diet plans are big business. Unfortunately the main goal of diet plans is to get you to pay fees to use them rather that to help you lose weight. There are a few good diet plans and a lot of diet plans which are completely ineffective and/or unrealistic. When you choose a diet plan you should be able to picture making the changes within a tolerable amount of lifestyle change. Hoodia can greatly help with your diet plan in terms of eating less but you should still take the impact of the changes the diet plan will impose on you into account. A good diet plan is one that you can keep up for a long period of time, and will include lifestyle changes that you can accept as permanent. If your diet plan is an intense one which will last for six weeks and does not mention any sort of permanent change than this is a diet plan that will have you balloon up to your original weight as fast as you lost it. Hoodia or some other appetite suppressant is a good thing to add to your diet plan, and you should have some on hand after reaching your weight loss goals in case you feel you will be in a situation where you will feel the urge to overeat. Diet plans can be successful, it is just a matter of finding the right diet plan and having a good diet aid like hoodia there to help you.
